The question marks
Beside every section title, and beside most rows, sits a small ?. Tap it and a note opens describing what that setting does and what to expect on the glass. The help overlay puts it this way: Every section and most rows have one. Tap it and it tells you what that setting does, in plain words. That is the fastest way to answer almost any question on this page. The notes on this site quote those descriptions where they apply.
The Help overlay
The Help link at the bottom of the page, or the F1 key on a keyboard, opens an overlay that walks the page in a few paragraphs: what is saved where (Everything here is saved on the ticker itself, nothing leaves your home network.), the coin list and Save & Apply, instant apply for everything else, and the Per screen layouts. The Escape key or the close button dismisses it.
