Can I turn off automatic updates?

No. There is no setting for it on the settings page, on purpose: every ticker runs the current firmware, so every owner has the same fixes.

Updates keep every setting, the Wi-Fi and any password, and they are how the ticker receives fixes and stays in step with its price server.

A ticker that could not update would eventually stop showing prices. If an update is causing you a problem, tell Lee: Report a bug or suggest a feature.
