Symptoms

On the start screen’s wait box: My server's down right now. or My server's API is down., then Your Wi-Fi is fine - my end. or The trouble is at my end. and I'll keep trying.
During an outage, the signal card’s bottom line Your Wi-Fi is fine, it's our end or The trouble is at our end, or the outage box’s verdict Server down (internet OK)., Server up, API refused., or server error 503.

Cause

The ticker reached the internet, proved it with a public address, and CryptoTicr’s own server did not answer or answered with an error. That is a fault on the CryptoTicr side, a server restart, an overload, or a problem with the data source, and there is nothing on your ticker or network to change. The ticker says so plainly so that you do not start resetting things at home.

Fix

Leave the ticker plugged in and on your Wi-Fi. It retries on its own, keeps the last good prices on the glass, and resumes the moment the server answers.
Do not factory-reset or change the Wi-Fi. Neither helps, and both cost you a setup.
If the box is 429: Heavy Server Load, the server asked the ticker to slow down; it does, for a short while, and carries on.
