Factory reset start over from scratch

Before a factory reset, try the gentler ones, in Global Settings, under Device.

Restart erases nothing: try it first when something seems stuck.

Getting a new router? Before the old one goes, Change Wi-Fi moves the ticker across and keeps everything.

Erase Wi-Fi forgets only the network, and keeps your coins and settings.

Factory defaults puts your coins, colors and timings back the way they shipped.

A factory reset erases all of it, even the Wi-Fi and the lock password. The firmware stays.

Use it when nothing else works, like when the old Wi-Fi is already gone. If only your Wi-Fi password changed, wait about half an hour, or unplug it and plug it back in: it opens its setup by itself.

You'll switch the power off and on five times in a row. A cable with a switch makes it easy, and unplugging works too.

Each time, leave it off for a second, switch it on, and switch it off again within five seconds. It can stay off as long as you like in between.

From the second time, the screen counts down with circles, and a red line grows. Switch it off while the line is still growing.

Two more.

One more.

The fifth time, leave it on. It says, factory reset,

then, factory reset done. Wi-Fi and settings erased.

It restarts into first-time setup, just like new. Now set it up again, the same as the first time.

If you can still open the settings page, there's an easier way.

Open Global Settings, then Device, and tap Erase.

Everything is the factory reset. Start over keeps your Wi-Fi.

Confirm, and the ticker does the rest.

Tip: before a reset, Export on the same page saves your coins and settings to a file, so you can Import them afterwards.
