What does the ticker send to the internet?

The footer read-out on the settings page, which names the addresses the ticker uses9:41192.168.1.107

The ticker talks to its own server over an encrypted connection to fetch the prices, charts and firmware updates it shows. Each request carries a few readings about the ticker’s own health, so a struggling ticker can be recognized and the cause fixed in a firmware update. Once an hour it also sends the time zone you chose, so quiet hours keep local time.

It never sends your Wi-Fi password or anything about you. There is no account, no camera and no microphone, and it never connects to a wallet or an exchange. The policy is on Privacy.
