Can it connect to my wallet or exchange?

No. The ticker shows public prices and market figures for the coins you choose; it holds no wallet, connects to no exchange, and has no account to sign into. Its settings are a coin list and display choices, and the only thing it sends to the internet is a request for prices with a few health readings attached. See Privacy.
