Does it work with mesh routers?

Yes. A mesh system is several access points under one network name, and the ticker joins whichever offers the best 2.4 GHz signal; during a long outage it even drops and rejoins on purpose so its radio can pick the strongest one again. The catch is band steering: some systems try to push every device onto 5 GHz, which the ticker does not have. If the ticker cannot see or keep the network, give the 2.4 GHz band its own name in the mesh app, or turn steering off. See Mesh and band-steering routers.
