Which coins are available

The list

The settings page’s coin boxes are where the choice happens:

Its suggestions come from the server’s list of supported coins: the 1,000 largest by market value, each with an identifier, a symbol, a name and a logo. The server refreshes the list daily, and refuses to publish a broken one, so an upstream problem never shrinks your choice to a handful. Rankings move every day, so a coin near the end of the list can drop out and come back as its market value changes. The current list is on Supported coins.

The top-coins loader

Load top coins draws from a separate, shorter list: the top coins by market value, stablecoins and untraded assets left out, as the page’s note says: Stablecoins and untraded assets omitted. The server keeps a list of a few hundred stablecoin identifiers for that purpose. A stablecoin can still be typed into a box by name; it is only left out of the loader.

Coins that leave the list

When the data source stops carrying a coin, the server reports it as unsupported and the ticker removes it from your list on its own, after a confirming second sighting, so the rotation does not keep stopping on a coin with no data. Pick a replacement on the settings page.
