Yes. To the ticker a hotspot is a normal Wi-Fi network with a password. Two things to know: the hotspot must offer 2.4 GHz, which on an iPhone means turning on Maximize Compatibility (the ticker’s own screen says iOS: Maximize Compatibility.), and the phone must keep the hotspot on, since the ticker fetches prices every few seconds.
