Does it work without internet?

No: the prices come from the internet, so without it there is nothing new to show. For the first half hour the ticker stays on the screen it was showing, with the last prices it had, and retries about every ten seconds. Every few tries it says what is wrong: a box headed I can't see my server, then its Wi-Fi signal card with a line naming what failed, for example Your internet looks down.

If the internet is still down after half an hour, the ticker restarts itself once, in case the fault is its own, and shows Restarted to refresh / my server link as it starts. Prices are not kept through a restart, so from then until the internet is back it waits on its start screen, with its address and a line about what it is waiting for, and shows no prices. Nothing needs resetting: when its server answers again, the coins come back by themselves. See Glass says I can't see my server.

The settings page needs the internet too. The ticker serves the page, but its controls load from the CryptoTicr server, so during an outage your browser shows Can't load the settings page, Your ticker is fine and still running. and I'll keep trying.; once it has checked that your internet is down it adds This settings page just needs an internet connection to open. and Check your Wi-Fi or internet, then try again., and it keeps trying by itself.
