The ◀ ▶ buttons went dark

• The previous and next buttons are grayed out
• Couldn't reach your ticker, is it on?

Symptoms

• ◀ and ▶ under the coin boxes are dimmed and do nothing.
• Or a tap shows Too fast — wait ~5s and the arrows go dark for a few seconds.

Cause

Two different things. The arrows are dimmed whenever every showing coin fits on one screen: one coin in One per screen, up to two in Two, up to four in Four. There is nowhere to step. Otherwise the arrows are rate-limited, because every step makes the ticker fetch fresh prices: the page allows twelve steps in a minute, refilling steadily, and once the allowance is spent the arrows go dark until half of it has come back.

Fix

1. If the arrows are dimmed with no message, add more coins or switch to One per screen so there is a rotation to step through.
2. If you saw Too fast, wait the seconds it named. The arrows come back by themselves; no reload is needed.
