Setting up from a Mac

Before you start

• The ticker is on and showing Join my Wi-Fi with a CT network name.
• The Mac’s Wi-Fi is on.

Steps

1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar and choose the CT network. It has no password.

2. A Mac checks every new network for a sign-in page. The ticker answers that check by pointing it at its setup page, so a small window with the setup page in it usually opens by itself.

3. If no window opens, open Safari and go to http://192.168.4.1. The glass shows the same address under If not, browse to:.

4. Read the four welcome cards, click Got it, let's set up!, pick your home network, type its password and click Connect.

5. When the ticker joins your Wi-Fi it restarts, and its own network goes away with it. The window, if you used it, goes blank; that is expected. Reconnect the Mac to your home Wi-Fi, open Safari and type the address the glass shows under My settings are here:, with http:// in front.

You’re done when

• The settings page is open in Safari at the ticker’s address on your home Wi-Fi.

Problems?

• The setup page did not open by itself
• The settings page won't open
• The browser turns http into https
